AFTER CARE
Now that you've gotten your tattoo, here are the recommendations to help you take the best care of it.
If you used second skin
- ●Leave it on for 3 to 5 days (ideally 5).
- ●You can shower as usual, just avoid:
- ›Very hot water
- ›Scrubbing or harshly soaping the area
- ●To remove it:
- ›Do it in the shower with lukewarm water
- ›Gently peel it off starting from the edges
- ●Pat the tattoo dry with a paper towel (do not rub).
- ●Start applying fragrance-free moisturizer:
- ›Use a small amount (avoid over-moisturizing)
- ›Apply 2–3 times a day or whenever it feels dry
If you did NOT use second skin
- ●Remove the film after 3 hours (no longer).
- ●Wash the tattoo with:
- ›Water
- ›Mild, fragrance-free soap
- ●Pat dry with a paper towel.
- ●Starting on day 3, begin moisturizing with:
- ›Fragrance-free moisturizer
- ›Apply 2–3 times a day
- ›Always in a light layer
What to avoid
- ●Sun exposure
- ●Pools, ocean, hot tubs, or submerging the tattoo in water
- ●Exercise for at least 1 week
- ●Scratching or picking at scabs
Once it's healed
- ●The process takes approximately 15 days.
- ●Once healed, always use sunscreen when exposed to the sun.
What's normal
- ●Mild redness or irritation
- ●With the second skin, fluid buildup (plasma + ink) is completely normal
